Logmein hamachi old version4/9/2023 That's an odd way of saying they haven't been keeping up. A search suggested it should be in /var/bin/hamachi IIRC, but none of the files there contained the required data that was readable as text. However, things still didn't work when I reconfigured the bridge and interfaces manually and I couldn't identify where the configuration was stored. Response to my same-ish query on another forum suggests that eth0 should have lost its IP address and that this should have transferred to the bridge ham-br0, which should bridge eth0 with a Hamachi interface. Perhaps the issue is with Hamachi rather than the 3B+ but, pragmatically, the combination doesn't work for me and so I've needed to find an alternative. I've had no success with Hamachi on the 3B+ and so had to abandon it (although I still have the Pi 3B+ and would rather use it than the mini-ITX if possible as the mini-ITX burns almost 50W). based on Debian Buster) via NOOBS and the machine works well as a general 'lightweight PC'. I installed the full version of Raspbian 3.1 (i.e. My 3B+ needs a minimum of 5.1V, 2.6A, which exceeds USB 2.0 (5V, 500mA) spec for both voltage and current. I agree that anything less won't do as I found out when trying a 5V, 3A USB supply and also a 5.2V, 2.1A supply. I have the official power supply for the 3B/3B+. Perhaps the issues aren't "major" enough for everyone to be shouting - I suspect that not many people want to use a 3B+ as a bridge? I've found a few posts from last year from this forum as well as similar from other sources. Reports of networking issues are mostly about WiFi rather than Ethernet. The 3B+ has no major hardware network issues, or people would be yelling about it here.Īre you using the latest Raspbian and a proper power supply? The supply you used for your original Raspberry Pi likely won't cut it.
